According to Philip Morris Sales and Marketing, the brand new products - Marlboro Gold Touch and Marlboro Gold Fine Touch – were launched in innovative format, as these as slim cigarettes of king size offering two varieties of mild flavor, packed in elegant packs, contributing to unique and modern design.
The major peculiarities of the latest styles of world-famous Marlboro cigarette brand consist in totally new consumer qualities: carefully selected tobacco blend, smaller width of the cigarettes, usage of charcoal filter, compact size of the packs and their modern design, said the company in a press statement.
Marlboro Gold Touch and Marlboro Gold Fine Touch cigarettes are offered in an entirely new size – traditional length (85mm), but smaller width (7.1mm). The new cigarettes are intended for adult smokers, who prefer classic products, but are ready for changes.
The unique double-layered charcoal filter system, providing milder and more balanced taste, will be used in production of Marlboro cigarettes for the fist time. Earlier Marlboro cigarettes were equipped with acetate or combined filter systems.
Both Marlboro Gold Touch and Marlboro Gold Fine Touch cigarettes were created by Philip Morris International’s experts in tobacco blending and production. New cigarettes are manufactured at “Philip Morris Izhora” plant, one of the largest tobacco manufacturing plants owned by Philip Morris International in the world. The plant is situated in Leningrad region. For manufacture and packaging of the new cigarettes, the company purchased and installed new equipment, with a total cost of $12 million.
“Evolution of Marlboro brand continues,” declared Sergey Slipchenko, president of Philip Morris Sales and Marketing. “Today we are extending “Marlboro Gold line”, by introducing absolutely new product, offering slim cigarettes in king-size. Just a year after the launch of Marlboro Gold edge, ultra slim, king-size cigarettes, introduced in 2010, Marlboro introduces yet another novelty, Marlboro Gold Touch and Marlboro Gold Fine Touch, elegant cigarettes with mild taste. The unique format of these cigarettes has not been present on the market until now,” said Slipchenko.
Philip Morris Sales and Marketing president added that Marlboro is the most popular cigarette brand in premium segment on the international market. Marlboro cigarettes have been a synonym of premium superb quality for many years. “We know that adult smokers prefer Marlboro brand as a classical cigarette brand, but at the same time, are willing to see the brand not only as a trademark with rich heritage, but also as innovative product, and in order to keep up with the consumers’ expectations we developed and successfully introduced Marlboro Filter Plus and Marlboro Gold Edge cigarettes. Our latest addition, Both Marlboro Gold Touch and Marlboro Gold Fine Touch represent a unique balance of classics and innovation, declared Slipchenko.
Marlboro Gold Touch contains 6mg of tar and 0.5mg of nicotine; Marlboro Gold Fine Touch contains 4mg of tar and 0.4mg of nicotine.
